The gay scene seems to have been miraculously overlooked in the recent government sleaze clampdown. Perhaps that is because it does not officially exist. Whilst drugs, prostitution, discos, bars and restaurants with speakers bigger than a Walkman were all abruptly shut in September, the gay scene has been quietly carrying on as normal. Yet normal is moving location every few months – maybe that’s why the clampdown never found it?
