It’s not shaping up for a good year for the League so far. With one club, Carlton, collapsing, hardly anyone banging on the doors to join the league and mutterings of a separate players’ league, it’s a wonder anyone can keep their mind on a game. Even Northern Spirit’s unquenchable enthusiasm took a knocking when they were thrashed 3-0 by Parramatta Power last week. Sydney United must be licking their chops.
